Virtual Exhibition | JOHN DEERE
The Brief
With the sudden COVID-19 lockdown, our client’s biggest annual exhibition had to go virtual. Our team only had 6 weeks from brief to the launch of the event.
- Event awareness campaign to drive registrations using PR, bulk mail and social media.
- Design and development of VR online platform and VR headsets.
- Creation of 30 x 3D models
- Virtual tours of 30 actual products.
- Design and layout of product brochures.
- Competitions and product launches.
- Management of the live events.
Brand Development
I was responsible for the concept, name development and design of all brand collateral, including the design of the Africa Showroom logo, the brand look and feel and design elements.
3D Virtual Showroom
With only 1 week to create 30 products in 3D, and set them in a virtual environment, my role was to enlist a team of seven artists and to ensure that the execution was on-brand and in time. The scenes allowed users to walk around the products, and to explore the dealership, with links to Parts, Finance and the Merchandise Store.
3D Virtual Showroom
Google Cardboard VR viewers were designed and manufactured to allow users the opportunity to immerse themselves in the virtual experience. These were distributed to VIPs, and also made great giveaways on social media and other competitions that led up to the event.
Virtual Tours
Virtual tours of all the John Deere products allowed users to walk around (and inside) the actual products. This interactive experience included information points where users could watch videos and find additional information about the features and technologies that the products offer.
Product Launches
Product launches linked though to live events.
